After seeing the Degas exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts last weekend, I realized that I have no idea how to shade skin and whatnot. I have a fair amount of anxiety about trying to color this image in, so I might just leave it as is.

Before exhibiting at Arisia, I tried to draw things that looked kind of science fiction-y. All attempts to draw circuits and whatnot failed. So, I thought, why not some insects with simple switches attached to their backs?
I started using a dot technique in this image after getting some inspiration at Deer Island. I found a crab shell, bleached over many days to a pale orange, with small, darker, oranges scattered about the top.

If my bunny was on a spaceship, she wouldn’t wait for the friggin door to open before she got off and explored a planet full of brassica and nasturtium species. She would chew her way out of that darn spaceship.
